Official Review of “Special 80 Minute Dance Party Mix”

Adrian Kennedy’s newest installment in his famed 1/2 Hour Dance Party series exceeds expectations, and brings freshness along with a couple hits from previous albums.  Kennedy, also known in some circles as President Kennedy, AK-47, and the Predadrian, he has gained attention with his social commentary mix, Swine Flu Edition.  Although he hit a slump with Summer Edition, his fan base has always been loyal, this new mix gives the listener everything they would want to ask for.

Beach Boys to Daft Punk, AK barrages the audience with advant-garde esque pop and dance melodies.  Stan Brakage’s influence in Kennedy’s mixes can be seen with Passion Pit and Def Leppard.  Overall, as The White Album was to the Beatles, “Special 80 Minute Dance Party” could be the apex of Kennedy’s art.  With fans protesting online to bring AK to the Los Angeles area, it seems that he has committed to bring his music over to the West Coast at the beginning of May 2010.  Time will tell what will come next in Kennedy’s Dark and Sadistic anthology of Dance music.  But this music reviewer will be waiting.
